This is the one! This month’s meeting is one we have been looking forward to all year long! The ladies from Blackbird Designs, Barb and Alma, are headed to Denver to present at our SGR meeting on Sunday, April 8th. Blackbird Designs has been around for 19 years and are as fresh and inspiring today as they were back in 1999! You will want to make sure to arrive with plenty of time to get settled and ready to enjoy a wonderful program. We are so fortunate to have them! If you have a few minutes to spare, take a look at their newest releases from the Nashville Market, “Deck the Halls”, “Shall I Compare Thee “to a Summer Day, and “And Blossoms as the Rose”!
Our meeting will start promptly at 1:30 as we need to get through our business agenda including voting for next year’s open Board positions and a push for membership renewals. Also, please remember that the April 8th meeting is the final opportunity to register for the 25th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, May 12th! Please see the Birthday Celebration note, including the menu, later in this newsletter.
With the arrival of springtime comes the blossoming of flowers! I love the bursts of color after the passing of the brown tones of winter. Lilacs, daffodils, and violets are sprouting from the ground while the roses are still waking up. I am ready to enjoy to sunshine and breakout a colorful new project! I love Plum Street Samplers “Babushka’s Bees” and “Pennsylvania Fraktur”, and NikysCreations “Spring Girl” and “Garden Tyme”! What colorful new project tickles your fancy?
Until next time, Happy Stitching!
