It’s January and that means two things to me; time for the second half of our wonderful program “Back to Basics” and time to start a fun new project! Our January meeting will feature several special features that you ertainly do not want to miss. Laura will introduce the next part of our “Back to Basics Sampler,” a great specialty stitch to try. In the meantime, I hope everyone has found a few minutes to work on the central Adam and Eve motif. I am stitching on mine!
Our meeting will also feature a very special fundraising event with proceeds dedicated to the True Walker Memorial Fund. Danya Daily was a longtime SGR member and wonderful friend to many of us. Danya’s daughter, Vicky, also a longtime SGR member, has donated many items from her mother’s stash for this very unique sale. I don’t want to spoil the surprises but this is something that is truly special and comes from a place of love for stitching and friends. I hope you all are able to attend this meeting and participate in this special sales event.
Many of our favorite designers have been hard at work creating new designs that are certain to garner attention. New fun designs are available from Plum Street Samplers like Llama Lump and Goodbye Fall, or from Lucy Beam Love In Stitches Pins & Needles Standing Pin Keep, or maybe a new piece by With Thy Needle and Thread is more to your liking! Brenda has released several adorable designs! So much to choose from!
