Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday we were kicking off our Silver Anniversary year with an amazing array of programs and a much-anticipated Blackbird Design Seminar! I am really looking forward to our May meeting. We have so much to celebrate! Twenty-five years of friends, projects, and a deep love of stitching! Our special celebration will be held at the P.P.A. Event Center located at 2105 Decatur Street, beginning at noon. There is no need for anyone to arrive early to help set up as this event is catered and fully staffed. When you arrive, please remember to have your stitched name tag, handmade pincushion, and a beautiful finished stitched project of your choice to display. Everything else is taken care of! There is sure to be a lot of excitement and plenty of surprises for everyone! Sadly, the May celebration marks the end of our Sampler Guild of the Rockies’ year and we won’t meet again as a full group until September.
Many of us will have the opportunity to attend the June 30th Retreat, themed “A House in the Country”, at the Roxborough Community Center. Katrina has worked very diligently and prepared a wonderful project for our stitching pleasure. I know we are all looking forward to this event and spending time with our Guild friends nestled in the beauty that surrounds the facility.
Finally, I want to wish each of you a wonderful and restful summer. I thank you for your support this year as I have learned what it means to hold the office of the president of this organization. Your kindness and generosity of time, resources and talent are inspiring and I am truly grateful to be a part of it. May your summer be filled with sunshine and much stitching pleasure!
Until September, Hugs to you all!
Danielle Gavito, President
