Spring Forward

It may be the beginning of springtime, but for Sampler Guild of the Rockies’ members we are three months away from completing our membership year. Where has the time gone? Plans are already underway for next year’s SGR programs and events. It takes a lot of lead-time and preparation to make our membership-year fun, interesting, and successful! I hope you are excited to see what next year will have in-store!

With that in mind, our March meeting begins membership renewal and the election process for open Board positions. This month Tina Hubis and her nominating committee will present a slate of members who are interested in filling a Board Position. Positions that are open for consideration are Assistant to Vice President Programs, Second Vice President Membership, Treasurer, and Nominating Committee Chairperson. Voting for new Board members will take place at our April 8th meeting. To renew your membership, please remit your annual dues by our May 12th meeting to ensure you are included in the annual SGR roster.

While we are looking forward to next year’s SGR programs, we still have lots of fun things planned for this year! Linda and Laura continue to offer great kits that tie into a big surprise coming in May. You don’t want to miss out on any of the wonderful smalls that the ladies have put together. I hope their kits are keeping you guessing at what is in store!

For those who are interested in “springing” into a new project, Nashville Needlework Market is March 2-4th. Blackbird Designs, Hands Across the Sea Samplers, Mani di Donna and many other wonderful designers will be there! So get ready to add a few things to your stash!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!
