Spring has officially arrived and with it comes our April meeting! This month’s meeting is one we have been looking forward to all year long! Sampler Guild is excited to host 1897 Schoolhouse Samplers, Lianne van Leyen to our Seminar on Friday and Saturday, and again on Sunday, at our regular meeting. This Seminar has been years in the planning so to see it coming to fruition is very exciting! Seminar will be held at the beautiful Roxborough Community Center. Our Sunday meeting will be held at the church. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Kim Bartkowski and Jennifer Colmenero for making this happen!
Our May 7th meeting brings us to our Birthday celebration and our last regular meeting for the year! Where did the time go! This year we will celebrate the 29th birthday of our Guild. Please consider participating in the pincushion exchange; it’s always a lot of fun to see all the lovely, stitched designs! If you want to participate in the exchange but are out of state or plan to attend virtually, please send me an email so I can provide you with an exchange person. Pincushions need to be mailed no later than April 25 to insure they reach their destination in time for our party. Our celebration will be held at the Church and promptly begin at 2 PM for the May meeting. Charli Pearson has volunteered to coordinate a potluck so please sign up to bring a dish to share. The luncheon is potluck.
Our food drive brought in 143 cans for the Community Food Pantry. Thanks to all who contributed.
As a reminder, the church doors will open at 2 PM April 10 for members with the meeting called to order promptly at 2:30.
Until next time, Happy Stitching!
