Summer's Rapid Pass

Summer seems to have made a rapid pass across 2019! It is time to begin the new year for Sampler Guild of the Rockies. This year will provide many exciting opportunities for our members both new and returning to acquire new skills and knowledge. The Programs’ team has been hard at work planning a wonderful year with many exciting activities including guest speakers and engaging monthly activities! Additionally, Seminar, Retreat, and Stitch In dates are all on the books as well. I’m sure as you read this newsletter, you will spot many fun and different events and projects that are certain to get you excited for our meetings to start.

At our September meeting, we will announce the theme for the year and several special events that are planned, including the make-up field trip to the Avenir Museum in Ft. Collins! The September date for this special trip to Ft. Collins have been finalized and it should be a fantastic opportunity to see the sampler SGR donated funds to help conserve. The always popular Stash Sale will take place at our October 13th meeting so come prepared next month with coffee and funds! We will also announce the other fundraisers for the year and the two Community Service projects that SGR will undertake. The first Service Project will be held at our December 8th meeting, so please take note as we are blending it with our delightful Christmas Tea. We will support Toy for Tots again this year so watch for those toy sales and let’s see if we can collect as many toys as last year! Finally, our April meeting is much later in the month than usual, so please make sure to take a close look at the dates for all of our meetings this year.

As a reminder, the church doors will open at 2pm for members with the meeting called to order promptly at 2:30. The business portion of the meeting will conclude by 3pm at which time we will begin our Program. September treats will be provided by the Board.

Until next time, TTFN!
