Welcome Back! While we are currently able to meet in person, our success in utilizing a digital platform, Zoom, has given our Guild an added method to reaching members and ensuring our ability to consistently hold meetings. Come what may! Our strength and drive to connect during the pandemic and share our love of samplers is thriving and challenges the Board to continue to come up with new ways to move S.G.R forward! We continue to grow and diversify as a group, with many new members now coming from out of state. Sampler Guild of the Rockies is now on Instagram! Again, enabling us to reach more sampler lovers and better connect to many of our favorite designers.
S.G.R. will hold our monthly meetings utilizing a blended format. Monthly meetings will be held in person, as long as we are allowed to, but will also have a Zoom option available. Monthly meetings will be held on the same date and at the same time as our in-person meetings. There is no change to our meeting schedule. With each monthly newsletter, a link for our Zoom meeting will be sent. If anyone has any questions about this, please just contact someone on the Board who will be glad to help you.
Our various groups like, Unfinished Objects (UFO), Challenge Projects, and Book Club, will also continue this year. Those groups have their own special Zoom meetings with separate links being provided, just remember to sign up! Doris and Sharri have a wonderful program for this year that I know you will enjoy! They have also selected a very special challenge project that ties in beautifully with this year’s theme. (Please see their announcement in this newsletter, I don’t want to give it away!) Kim and Katrina have chosen some great books for this year’s reading enjoyment! A list of titles is on our website and our FaceBook page, plus in this newsletter so don’t miss out on the fun!
Finally, the Board has worked to ensure we will have a wonderful and fun year! We will have our annual Christmas Tea and are already working on plans for our 29th Birthday Celebration in May. We welcome members to share ideas and suggestions and to volunteer to support Guild!
Until next time, TTFN
